Program Description

The Program discusses plant shutdown frequency planning, milestone and task/activity scheduling; selection and responsibilities of the turnaround manager and turnaround team. It provides details on the five phases of a plant turnaround; the master work list and work package development, and setting the formal work list cut-off date. The master milestone schedule and master execution are discussed along with a comprehensive contractor management plan. A special concern is given to manpower efficiency and costly transition points with their affect on work progress momentum. Safety and Quality Assurance are presented as positive benefits to the schedule and budget.
